Cost: $150

Students need to have a tough spirit and be willing to get a few bruises here and there. (Don’t worry though, we will be using mats as well as simple progressions into each trick, but bruises and some discomfort are just part of the territory when it comes to partnering tricks and lifts). Safety is a top priority. Students should not take this class if they are uncomfortable with physical contact, afraid to be upside down or just be lifted in general, if they have anxiety about trusting other dancers to support their weight or if they are overly timid and not easily willing to get out of their comfort zone to try new things.
Description: This class requires strong will, determination, trust, patience, and kindness. Specific lifts and tricks will be determined once we know who has enrolled. We will work hard to make sure partners and groups are matched well in order to give them the best chance for success. Some dancers may serve primarily as bases while others are primarily the ones being lifted; however, we will attempt to work on tricks where everyone has an opportunity to play both parts. No one will be forced to try tricks they do not want to try; however, dancers are expected to be excited about new tricks and want to give them a try. If you aren’t excited about this, then it is probably not a good fit and you should not sign up.
